Our hope is that you and your crew feel right at home here. We want The Mahjong Room to be an inviting space where you can gather, socialize, unwind, and of course, mahj. No one needs to host and no one needs to bring a thing.
Although we are located inside an amazing soccer training facility, you don't have to have anything to do with soccer to come and gather here. It is open to all who want a place to mahj.
Added bonus: if you are a soccer parent, drop your player downstairs to train while you play — when availability allows.
What is Mahjong?
Mahjong is a tile-based game usually played with four people, combining strategy, skill and luck. It started in China in the mid-1800s, and there are now around 40 variations played worldwide. American Mahjong has exploded in popularity again.
In this fast-paced, high-tech world, we all need a chance to escape — put down our phones, play a game, laugh, and connect with others. That is why we love Mahjong. Not to mention the pretty tiles, and that it is good for the memory.

Includes tiles, mat, racks, dice and dish, table lamp, and NMJL card. Curate your own tablescape.
We do not provide or arrange players for your table — bring your friends. Hours vary, so DM or text to book a table and check availability for that day.

For those who have taken a class or learned the basics but still need some help along the way. A Mahjong instructor stays in the room with your group to guide the flow of the game, give tips, and answer questions as they come up.

Everything you need to start playing American Mahjong — the rules and terms, suits and tiles, how to read the NMJL card, and how to set up and open play.
Recommended: book a Guided play session afterwards to settle the game in.

The Mahjong Room is set for 12 people, three tables of four. Rent it out for a party or a private gathering and bring your own snacks and beverages.
Local Mahjong instructors: the room can be rented as a space to teach up to 12, supplies and teaching visuals included.
